Sustainability is a top priority for the BLEUFEU team! Whether it’s about responsible sourcing, sustainable mobility, social engagement, or equity, diversity, and inclusion, we cover a wide range of initiatives. Our actions are diverse, and we hope they make a meaningful impact. Here are a few examples of our commitments.

Governance

  • Acquisition of the Planétair Certification
  • Promotion of our sustainability initiatives during the event
  • Creation of a festivalgoer's guide to encourage sustainable actions

Environment

  • Offsetting our GHG emissions to move towards carbon neutrality
  • Collaboration with Qualiplus for site management and maintenance
  • Installing numerous trash, recycling, and deposit bins on-site + providing festival-goers with waste, recycling, and deposit stations
  • Selling beer and water in cans to maximize deposit returns and reduce the number of cups in circulation on-site
  • Pedestrianization of our site: Located in the heart of Quebec City, our venues are within walking distance.
  • Promotion of public transportation (in partnership with Réseau de transport de la Capitale - RTC)
  • Use of mobile tickets instead of physical passes for festival-goers
  • Source reduction initiatives
  • Restoring all sites to their original state after the event; Cleaning and waste collection
  • Daily cleaning of the sites

Social

  • Implementation of a detailed emergency action plan to ensure the safety of festival-goers, volunteers, and employees
  • Free and accessible lineup for everyone
  • Designated areas for limited mobility near our main stage
  • Establishment of La Brigade in collaboration with the organization Lueur to ensure every festival-goer can celebrate in a safe environment
